The design team applies the theories of reverse engineering and converts 2D designs into 3D designs using the latest design software, namely the CAD/CAM system Vero International VISI CAM. Working in 3D lets the engineers study every component of the mold before any steel is cut. The department designs molds of all types and sizes, both single-cavity and multi-cavity, for injection and extrusion, up to molds of 2 meters.

Design is closely linked to the mold shop next door. The CAM stage prepares the data used by the milling, EDM and wire-cut machines, which shortens the path from drawing to finished mold.
